This is a series of gotchas so that no two people are stuck on the same problem for the same amount of time

1. When working with the database, make sure to look for stuff with flask-sqlalchemy. This 
    is because the full sqlalchemy has a lot of bells and whistles that are irrelevant to flask.
    In particular, sessions do not seem to be necessary with flask, as they are inherant in the 
    creation of the db object.
